ONCE UPON A TIME IN LONDONGRAD is a Rise Films production in association with Universal International Studios, BuzzFeed Studios and Concordia Studio. Series directed by Jed Rothstein. All TV credits as per the cards in the title.
Writing, producing and art-directing the title sequence was a brilliant challenge and another opportunity to work with Fraser, Ben and the other wizards at Cub Studio who directed and animated the piece beautifully. The creative riffs on classic Bond titles sequences, Saul Bass film poster block-print and Russian propaganda stylings. The punk track is 'Blood Money' by Chess and the mix was by Joe Cochrane at Splice Post.
The piece was commissioned in December 2021, so before the invasion of Ukraine and all that followed, so a strangely timely piece. Hope the show creates further pressure for action from the West to stop the dangers of Putin and his international supporters. Good review of the piece here.
